The Gibraltar Police Authority has overseen the conduct of the internal investigation carried out by the Royal Gibraltar Police into the incidents at Alcaidesa in Spain that occurred in August 2010, within the parameters of the Police Act 2006. The investigation has now been concluded.

The Commissioner of Police has accepted the extensive report that includes several recommendations both for the determination of the disciplinary matter as well as improvements for internal organisational matters arising from this incident.

The GPA is satisfied that this internal investigation has been concluded diligently and that the integrity and probity of the Royal Gibraltar Police in respect of the investigation has been upheld. The GPA looks forward to the prompt implementation of the recommendations arising from the investigation.
